Project Frame Featured in the GIIN Climate Solutions Investing Framework

Published June 2025

Project Frame is grateful to see its resources referenced in the Global Impact Investing Network’s (GIIN) latest publication, “The GIIN Climate Solutions Investing Framework: A Resource for Asset Owners to Move from Ambition to Allocation.”

The framework aims to “offer clear, actionable criteria for evaluating climate solutions strategies and investments,” including:

  • Criteria for evaluating and selecting climate solutions strategies

  • Foundational concepts for meaningful climate solutions investing

  • Considerations for integrating climate solutions investing into a traditional strategic asset allocation

Project Frame’s forward-looking emission impact assessment methodology and paper on foundational best practices are both referenced in the framework, alongside a discussion held at Frame’s 2023 Community Meeting, during which Dr. Ilissa Ocko, previously Senior Climate Scientist with Environmental Defense Fund, shared key insights into disaggregating GHGs for more precise calculations.

In November 2024, Project Frame was also included in the GIIN’s “Climate Solutions Investing in Review: An Analysis of Key Issues and Recommendations for an Investment Framework,” as an existing resource for investors looking to support climate solutions. This analysis, the GIIN explained, was an important step toward creating their recently released framework.
