Measuring the climate performance potential of startups

As Frame members know well, methods and practices used for assessing emissions impact can vary greatly from one investor to another for a multitude of reasons.

In a recent blog post, Morgan Sheil, Head of Impact at World Fund and Frame Steering Committee member, reminds us: However you choose to assess emissions impact, it’s important to do so with consistency and transparency for honest analyses.

In the post, Sheil highlights how resources, like the Frame-aligned CRANE Tool and our GHG Impact Resource Dashboard, can support you in these efforts.

In 2023, World Fund co-convened Frame’s Data & Tools Working Group. The Working Group produced both the Dashboard, which aims to simplify forward-looking emissions impact assessment by compiling tools, services, and consultants that assess emissions impact, and a Tool Showcase, led by impact professionals for impact professionals, meant to provide a general landscape overview of the strengths and opportunities the market at the time provided.
