Scope 2 Emissions

Indirect GHG emissions that result from the generation of purchased electricity, heat, or steam consumed by the reporting company. Scope 2 emissions are called "indirect" because the emissions occur at the facility that generates the electricity or heat, not at the facility where it is consumed.
