Project Frame launches 2 new Content Working Groups for 2024-25

In close collaboration with Climate Collective and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) respectively, the Case Studies and Methodology Working Groups will further Frame’s guidance by creating complementary resources and developing best practices for later-stage investors.

Project Frame is proud to launch two new Content Working Groups for 2024-25, dedicated to encouraging greater impact accountability by expanding our resource offering. They will create additional case studies that showcase our methodological approach in practice and evolve Frame’s guidance to reach a broader audience globally.

The Working Groups, convened from October 2024 to June 2025, are crucial to Frame’s mission. They collaborate to develop consensus to ensure that Frame’s guidance and resources reflect best practices while pushing investors and companies to be more transparent in their emissions impact assessments. The 2024-25 Working Groups also reflect Frame’s largest cohort to date, including more than 50 organizations across both groups.

Case Studies Working Group

The Case Studies Working Group is co-led by Climate Collective, an India-based organization that builds platforms to support climate tech entrepreneurs with a focus on the Global South.

The Working Group will assess the future emissions impact of climate solutions being deployed in Asia or the Global South. Beyond analyzing the solutions’ emissions impact, the Working Group will also extend beyond Frame’s methodology to articulate adaptation and resilience co-benefits in a structured manner.

Through its focus on climate solutions in Asia and the Global South, the group will work to build community amongst investors outside of the U.S. and Europe.

Members include: Boston Consulting Group, Breakthrough Energy, Center for Social Value Enhancement Studies, Climate Collective, Climate Point, Energy & Environment Investment, GenZero, Green Artha, Iroller Capital, Mandalay Venture Partners, Prime Coalition, SeedFuture Collective, Upaya Social Ventures, Undivided Ventures, Vivriti Capital, and Wollemi Capital.

Methodology Working Group

Project Frame’s Methodology Working Group will expand upon existing methodology, which is currently geared towards early-stage investors.

In close collaboration with the World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the newly formed Impact Convergence Forum, this Working Group aims to build guidance and resources so that all investors and companies—regardless of asset class, maturity, or industry—can navigate best practices for forward-looking emissions assessment towards reporting avoided emissions.

The Impact Convergence Forum for Private Equity (ICF) is a collaborative conversation group of firms with private equity impact strategies seeking to encourage convergence in impact measurement and management practices among LPs & GPs, ensuring high-integrity practice while enabling better decision-making.

This work will include developing avoided emissions impact assessment case studies of later-stage investments and updating Frame’s impact methodology landscape.
